Lawrence R. Hoffman

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Hoffman comes to Encorium with over 27 years of corporate finance, accounting, legal and operational experience. Most recently, Mr. Hoffman managed a financial consulting firm which focused on corporate governance issues for companies in the biopharmaceutical and public utility industries. Prior to that, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of two publicly traded (NASDAQ) oncology focused biopharmaceutical companies, Cytogen Corporation and The Liposome Company, Inc. In addition to his multi-national corporate finance and management responsibilities for these companies, he successfully helped increase their market capitalization as well as investor visibility. Mr. Hoffman played an integral role in increasing the earnings per share and cash flow of The Liposome Company during his tenure as Chief Financial Officer. He also played an active role in the sale of the Company at a significant premium over market. Prior to these positions, he served in various executive positions including Treasurer, Secretary and Acting Chief Financial Officer of Sybron Chemicals, Inc., a publicly traded (AMEX) manufacturer of specialty chemicals. Mr. Hoffman holds a J.D. from the Temple University School of Law, a Master of Laws (Taxation) from Villanova University School of Law, and a CPA certificate from the Pennsylvania Board of Accountancy.
